How Does JUVÉDERM® Work?
JUVÉDERM® fillers are smooth gels made up of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring sugar in the body. Once injected, the hyaluronic acid holds in water at the injection site which acts as a cushioning agent. This simply adds volume to the patient’s face which can result in a smoother facial appearance.
Is JUVÉDERM® Painful?
As with any injection, patients can report feeling pain. However, at Crabtree Plastic Surgery, we use advanced techniques to ensure as minimal discomfort as possible. We now also offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) if patients truly desire a pain-free experience
